lanyon quoit/waterson street

lanyon quoit. lies at the north end of along barrow 26 metres long and 12 metres wide. the barrow, which is covered by grass and bracken, is damaged and its outline is difficult to see. at the south end of the barrow are some more large stones that may be the remains of one or more cists. the dolmen stood much higher in the 18th century and it has been re-errected after it collapsed, but perpendicular to its original position.

waterson street/long street. a concophxoni of curb pavers, telephone pavement covers, cast iron and concrete bollards, street parking lines, form a nondescript court – an entrance into prehistory.
