this is such a great shot of boscawen-un stone circle. what can be seen is that it’s not a circle at all but arranged as an oval flattened on two sides with its centre stone said to predate the monument not al all sited at its predate the monument. the square ‘cove like’ feature linking it more with the stone circles found in cumbria than with the others here in west penwith. it’s geometry and orientation so clear from the aerial shot by david abram will greatly aid further research and investigation into this most intriguing of stone monuments.
