KING ARTHUR’S HALL.

king arthur’s hall. a megalithic monument on bodmin’s king arthur’s down, south of louden stone circle and settlement. it is a rectangular embanked stone lined pool – a more augmented version of the sacred pools found on dartmoor.* closest measurement 21x49m. this post explores its possible geometry composed of an adjoined square 21x21m and a 3-4-5 rectangle 28x21m. burl has suggested it’s close family association with brittany’s crucuno stone rectangle also based on a 3-4-5 rectangular geometry with its diagonals aligning with the solsticial sunrises and sets in winter and summer. KAH’s alignments have yet to be explored in detail but the base geometry seems to be in place. the transverse stone set at right angles to the southern stones is particularly interesting in this respect.
