castlerigg stone cove. castlerigg stone circle.

a rectilinear stone cove with celestial orientations. explored in the overlay drawing by alexander. the circle is thought to be connected with the production and distribution of axe heads. axe heads were highly prized and were imbued with symbolic significance.
