mulfra quoit. neolithic chambered tomb.

mulfra quoit. neolithic chambered tomb. standing just south west of the summit of mulfra hill this has thee remaining uprights and a dislodged capstone. a depression on the underside of this stone suggests it might have located the capstone on the fourth upright. this would have completed a rectilinear formation similar to the one at chun. It is surrounded by the remains of a round barrow or cairn. borlase suggested after an excavation of the central area that it contained the remnants of a pit or cist that held burials.
