trencrom. with evidence of it as a neolithic tor enclosure and a iron age hill fort, the long term occupation of trencrom hill underlines its importance in the cosmology of many generation of prehistoric peoples.  tor enclosures seem to have a multitude of uses and include evidence of ceremonial, trading activity, manufacture and feasting with some seasonal occupation by small groups both during the neolithic (rectiliniear post holes, carn brea) and to the iron age (hut circles, carn brea, trencrom).

as can be seen from the images above its close proximity and intervisiblity between the enclosure and similar features at st micheal’s mount would have been important.
